Privacy policy

  1. Your privacy: Fortnite.GG is committed to ensuring the privacy of your information.
  2. Application: This Privacy Policy applies to all personal information submitted by you on fortnite.gg (the “Website”), and any information that may be automatically retrieved through your use the Website.
  3. Consent: By accepting our Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy when you create a Fortnite.GG account, and by accessing and using the Website, you consent to the collection, use, disclosure, storage and processing of your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
  4. Changes to Privacy Policy: We may amend or update this Privacy Policy from time to time, with or without notice to you. You agree to be bound by the Privacy Policy that is in effect at the time you access and use the Website.
  5. Personal information: In order to use particular services that we offer, you may need to submit certain personal information such as your email address and name. You may be asked to submit further information from time to time. If you purchase a subscription via Paddle, we may send identifying information to Paddle in order to link your subscription to your account.
  6. Cookies: To enrich and perfect your online experience, the Service uses “Cookies”, similar technologies and services provided by others to display personalized content, appropriate advertising and store your preferences on your computer. A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor's computer, and that the visitor's browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. The Service uses cookies to help identify and track visitors, their usage of the website, and their access preferences. The Service visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using the Service, with the drawback that certain features the Service may not function properly without the aid of cookies.   7. Advertising privacy: (applies to non-paying members and casual visitors only) When you use our website, pre-selected companies may access and use certain information on your device and about your interests to serve ads or personalized content.
  8. Log data: We also receive information when you view content on, or otherwise interact with, our services, which we refer to as “Log Data”, even if you have not created a Fortnite.GG account. This Log Data includes information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, the referring web page, pages visited, search terms, and cookie information. We use Log Data to operate our services and to ensure their secure, reliable, and robust performance. For example, we use Log Data to protect the security of your account and to determine what features are popular on our services. We also use this data to improve the content we show you and to identify potential misuse of our services.
  9. Payment information: The Service relies on third parties to process subscription payments, so the Service necessarily must share identifying information with the relevant payment processor in order to know which account the payment will be applied to. We do not otherwise store any of your payment information. All payments are processed by Paddle as merchant of record (“Reseller”). As the payment process is entirely and independently carried out by the Reseller, you submit the relevant payment details directly to the Reseller. The Reseller’s respective privacy policies are at paddle.com/legal. For web subscriptions (“Products”), Paddle allows the Service to access the following payment data: your email address and your payment method (e.g. by credit card), but not the specifics of the payment itself, in order to obtain an overview over the Product’s performance. The legitimate interest of Paddle is to transparently communicate its sales of the Product to the Service; the legitimate interest of the Service is to know about its revenues generated by Paddle. The user, data subject has the possibility to revoke consent for the handling of personal data at any time from Paddle. A revocation shall not have any effect on personal data, which must be processed, used or transmitted in accordance with (contractual) payment processing.
  10. Use of information: The personal information you provide us will only be used in relation to the services we provide you, to communicate with you in relation to our services or to co-operate with any government, industry or regulatory authorities.
  11. Disclosure of information: Unless you have expressly authorized us to do so, we will not disclose your personal information to any third party except where disclosure relates to the purposes for which the information was collected (as stated in clause 8 above).
  12. Access to and updates of information: You may request to access the personal information that we hold on your behalf or to correct or update any of your personal information (to the extent that you are unable to do so yourself on the Website). If you have registered an account with Fortnite.GG, you can access, correct, delete, or modify the personal information you provided to us and associated with your account via your Settings page.
  13. Storage of information: We will securely store your personal information in the United States, although you acknowledge and agree that your personal information may be transferred outside of the United States in connection with the services we offer.
  14. Global operations and Privacy Shield: To bring you our services, we operate globally. Where the laws of your country allow you to do so, you authorize us to transfer, store, and use your data in the United States and any other country where we might operate. In some of the countries to which we transfer personal data, the privacy and data protection laws and rules regarding when government authorities may access data may vary from those of your country. When we transfer personal data outside of the European Union or EFTA States, we ensure an adequate level of protection for the rights of data subjects based on the adequacy of the receiving country’s data protection laws, contractual obligations placed on the recipient of the data, or EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield principles
  15. Deletion: Your account (including your profile and content) can be permanently deleted in Settings. We cannot restore permanently deleted accounts.
  16. Security: You must keep any login, password or account information relating to your use of the Website secure at all times, and must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of such information or any other breach of security. We will not be liable for any loss or damage if you fail to comply with this security obligation.
  17. Captcha: This site is protected by Turnstile and the Cloudflare Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
  18. Links: The Service may contain links to external sites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy and terms and conditions of every site you visit. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites, products or services.
  19. Children's Privacy: Our Service do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us. If We become aware that We have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, We take steps to remove that information from Our servers.
  20. European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Swiss and California users: The following rights are granted under the European General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”). Fortnite.GG applies these rights to all users of our products, regardless of your location: The right to know what personal information is collected. The right to know if personal information is being shared, and to whom. The right to access your personal information. The right to exercise your privacy rights without being discriminated against. EEA, UK, and Swiss Users: Our lawful bases for collecting and processing personal information under the GDPR include: Performing our contract with you and providing our services. Legitimate interests: we receive technical and interaction data of users, which may include IP addresses, to improve the security and reliability of our services and prevent abuse, and to understand where people learn about Fortnite.GG. Consent: where we ask for your consent to process your information, you can always withdraw this consent. Under the GDPR, EEA, UK, and Swiss users have additional rights: The right to request correction or erasure of personal information. The right to object to processing your personal information. The right to right to transfer or receive a copy of the personal information in a usable and portable format, when any automated processing of personal data is based on your consent or a contract with you. The rights to withdraw your consent to processing, when the processing is based on your consent. When we are processing data on behalf of another party that is the “data controller,” you should direct your request to that party. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, but we encourage you to first contact us with any questions or concerns. California Users: Under the CCPA, California residents have additional rights: The right to request personal information about to be deleted, subject to several exceptions. The right to opt-out of the sale of personal information. Note that we do not “sell” personal information as defined by the CCPA and have not done so in the past 12 months. You may designate, in writing or through a power of attorney, an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf to exercise your rights under the CCPA. Before accepting such a request from an agent, we will require the agent to provide proof you have authorized it to act on your behalf, and we may need you to verify your identity directly with us. Further, to provide or delete specific pieces of personal information we will need to verify your identity to the degree of certainty required by law. We will verify your request by asking you to send it from the email address associated with your account or requiring you to provide information necessary to verify your account.
