Monkey D. Luffy is the main protagonist of One Piece. He’s the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates and one of the most recognizable anime characters ever.Luffy’s defining trait is his dream: to become the King of the Pirates by finding the legendary treasure known as the One Piece. Luffy is driven by freedom, adventure, and loyalty to his crew.He gained his powers from eating the Gomu Gomu no Mi (later revealed to be a far more significant Devil Fruit), which makes his body rubber-like.
